To improve the services offered to clients, Kimberley Malone became a Certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN) Practitioner. Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) is a type of health detective work that seeks to identify the underlying causes of disease instead of treating symptoms.
Using functional lab work, hidden stressors are identified such as hormone imbalances, gut infections and food sensitivities. Clients are engaged in a health building process using the D.R.E.S.S. for Health Success® protocol. This includes recommendations in the areas of Diet, Rest, Exercise, Stress Reduction and Supplements.
Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN) provides a framework and logical, step-by-step method of restoring and maintaining health. Rather than diagnosing and treating specific diseases, the focus is on “building health”. FDN embraces metabolic individuality and is, therefore, always tailored to the individual.
The basic FDN functional lab tests include:
BioHealth 101: Metabolic Assessment Profile
BioHealth 205: Functional Adrenal Stress Profile
BioHealth 401H: GI pathogen Screen with H. pylori Antigen
Genova IP: (Intestinal Permeability)
MRT: Mediator Release Test - Food Sensitivities
